Worst Day Ever

This just might be the worst day of my mothering life. Today, Andrew figured out how to crawl out of his crib. Just as normal, I layer him down for a nap after lunch and was really looking forward to getting a little rest myself, when I heard the front door open and shut. I looked outside and saw Andrew running down the driveway! We fought for the next 2 1/2 hours, I would put him back in his crib and he kept getting out, screaming through it all. He finally drifted off to sleep with me standing over him. Now I can finally take a nap. Wrong! As soon as I shut Andrew's door, Dominic started crying! So...I ate a bag of potato chips, drank a cup of coffee and now I'm ready to face the rest of the day. I can't help but think what this means not just for today, but every afternoon nap and bedtime from here on out. I may be a bit over dramatic, but nap time is my time! I cherish it! I don't have the energy to spend 2 hours every afternoon and evening getting him to sleep! I will stop wallowing in self pity. I have been so blessed to not have to deal with any real hardships as a mother. I will be thankful that crawling out of the crib qualifies as my worst day ever.

We Remember

Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all the service men and women who fought for our freedom.
Grandpa Carl Huppert
Grandpa Mark Koening
and my hubby!

Andrew and Dominic sported their patriotic ties at church this morning.

The rest of the day we celebrated with the cousins and aunts & uncles.  Andrew, Elliott, Dominic and Corbyn had a great time playing together, going for wagon rides, and swimming in the blow up pool.  It was a great day to get wet!  Adam and Camille joined us later in the day with some big news...They're engaged!  He proposed while they were camping at Indian Cave State Park.  We are thrilled for them and excited to welcome Camille into the family.  Can't wait for another Kastl wedding!

Bow ties For Sale

I have an addiction.
I can't stop making these bow ties.

Having two little boys, I don't get to buy frilly dresses, hair bows and all that fun girly stuff.  So now I have found a way to accessorize my boys and I'm loving it!  They wear them to church, weddings, on holidays and any other occasion I can justify dressing up for.  Since I have made so many, I have decided to start selling them - $6 a bow tie. These are all the colors I have made so far and I have more fabric waiting for me!  If you are interested, just let me know which one you want.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Here's some pictures of my boys modeling them.
